SKV: More than a School
Located in the historic city of Gwalior, a UNESCO City of Music, Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) is one of India’s leading all-girls’ residential schools. Just 300 km south of Delhi, SKV blends cultural heritage with a modern, forward-thinking education.
Founded in 1956 by the Late Rajmata of Gwalior, Srimant Vijaya Raje Scindia, and inaugurated by President Dr. Rajendra Prasad, SKV was envisioned as a space where girls could receive a progressive education rooted in values and driven by purpose.
Admissions begin at Grade VI, with an emphasis on experiential learning, creativity, and education for service and enterprise. Students are encouraged to think independently, learn by doing, and take ownership of their growth.
Affiliated with CBSE, the school offers a robust academic foundation supported by world-class infrastructure, exceptional faculty, and vibrant opportunities in sports, arts, and leadership—both nationally and internationally.
At SKV, girls are inspired to explore, express, and evolve—emerging as confident, compassionate leaders ready to shape the world.
