Life at SKV
SKV is a home away from home for the students. The inspiring and motivating environment of the school helps the child acquire not only academic excellence but also a compassionate and a poised disposition. Measures are taken to bring out the full potential of the child and inculcate a strong sense of values. The school gives ample opportunities to its students to develop their personality and leadership traits and at the same time keep them rooted in their culture and traditions.
Mess
The spacious Maharani Chinkoo Raje dining hall seats 450. Students are served five meals a day which include refreshment during short break and after evening games. A well balanced and nourishing vegetarian and non-vegetarian diet is served. The menu includes Indian, Continental and Chinese dishes. The students' mess committee plays a major role in setting the menu for the week. The Canteen / tuck shop takes care of day to day needs of the students. Extra Sports diet is also provided for the students keeping in mind their additional nutritional requirement during training. On Sundays tuck packets are given to all students.
Hostel Life
The school is completely residential and has five boarding houses supervised by two house mistresses each. The Holding House accommodates students of classes VI & VII, Kamla Bhawan, Madhavi Bhawan Usha Bhawan and Chitrangada Bhawan are occupied by students from classes VIII - XII. The House mistresses are assisted by experienced matrons to carry out day to day work. In additions, 8-10 students are grouped under each day-teacher who act as house tutor and helps the children in their holistic development.
